According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), individuals who hold bachelors degrees in psychology will have limited job opportunities in the coming years. Consequently, many campus-based and online schools are creating masters programs that can help budding psychologists launch high-paying careers.

For instance, a Chicago-based graduate school that specializes in psychology degrees recently announced the launch of a new campus in Washington, DC.

The new location is intended to cater to the needs of working professionals, as the school will offer a great deal of evening and partially online college courses.

Enrollees may choose to pursue a masters degree in either forensic or counseling psychology. Furthermore, school administrators have created a doctoral program in clinical psychology, which will offer concentrations in child and adolescent psychology, international and multicultural psychology, forensic psychology or general clinical psychology.

All of the programs are intended to emphasize the need for high-quality mental health services for all individuals, according to school officials.

The BLS reports the demand for psychologists is expected to increase by 12 percent over the next eight years.
